It is the end of Spring Time. Winter is trying to sleep off the last three months, but spring is tickling her nose with a flower. Summer is waking to change the seasons and Autumn slumbers after a tiring year.

Gossip
At an outdoor tea party, in a hidden glad an innocent girl reads a book to her latest love. Unfortunetly the party guests have figured out where they are and are gossiping about the couple.

Elizabeth Mother of John the Baptist
This painting is of a pregnant Elizabeth. Mother of John the Baptist. Elizabeth thought she was barren and has John when she is elderly. The Angels in the back ground watch over her while playing with their children. Elizabeth feels the security of the watchful angels and senses their presents. The fountain represent John and the Baptisms he performed. I wanted to show the happiness and fertility of a long awaited birth.
Ester and King Ahasuerus
There is a plot by Haman to kill the the Jewish citzens in King Ahasuerus Kingdom. Ester is Jewish and the King's Queen, the King does not know Ester's faith. Ester summons all her courage while fearful for her life and tells King Ahasuerus her beliefs and asked him to spear her and her people. The King agrees and Haman is destroyed.
This painting is the moment Ester tells the King at a dinner banquet. The King is compassionate and Ester is ashamed she hadn't told him earlier. In the left hand corner you can see Haman's foot as he tries to run away. The left hand side represents sin and the right show the beauty of truth and belief.

Joseph protecting Mary and Jesus
I painted this oil to represent the trust God showed in Joseph. I think as a father figure he has not been represented as much as Mary has been as Jesus's mother. So I wanted to depict Joseph's strength, caring and nuturing (the blanket) and his paternal nature.
The background of the painting depicts Jesus's journeys as an adult. After being in the security of Joseph and Mary's care.
God's light is shining on the family, and Jesus is playing with the rays.
